Paltan Movie Review

Paltan Story:

Paltan is based on true events at the actual line of control between India and China at Nathu La pass - a (related to winning a battle) important hallway/travel path between India and Tibet. It is the story of Bravehearts from Indian Army's Rajput military unit/large number, who put up an energetic defense against their unreasonable Chinese similar person or thing in 1965.

Paltan Movie Performances:
The performances seem a little forced, and everyone except Arjun Rampal does not look real. There is a lot of shouting and chest thumping but more often than not, the excited interest (in something) is without any rhyme or reason. Probably the actors are trying to show their country-loving spirit, but getting overly dramatic at the drop of a hat (it may work fine in war scenes) does not call for a sense of country-loving.

What's Good in Paltan Movie
The last 30 minutes of the movie is riveting, especially if you've not seen a war film for a long time. Other than that, it's very hard to write anything good about this movie.

What's Bad in Paltan Movie
The over the top performances and the strained/artificial (words for a movie) is what wrecks the movie beyond repair. Harshvardhan Rane is very bad in his role as Major Harbhajan Singh.

Overview of Film Read Below

Indo-China border tension and our fight for Nathu La pass are reduced to embarrassing conversations and shaking country-loving. We witness everything, fist fights, stone hitting (with stones, etc.), even some (unexpected yet interesting), because something happened that is the opposite of what you'd expect) "Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai" thrown in until burning bullets and bombs go off on screen, leading to final best noise and confusion. But JP Dutta's Desh prem shouldn't be questioned. He gives our paltan the best looking men. Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, and Gurmeet Singh.

Their Chinese paltan has overweight (made fun of) men with funny fake teeth. So we definitely win in the looks department! As for acting, their paltan had the little scope and our paltan did what they could! They strained their neck muscles and shouted every conversation. With tightly squeezed tightly jaws, they stared the enemy in the eye.

They said "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" twelve times. How much more could the poor souls do? Also, our paltan "is humanized, there are wives and fiancees waiting for the Bravehearts to return. So, Dipika Kakkar and Monica Gill also get one scene each. their Chinese partners are clearly (not there; not present)! Wars are truly useless/pointless and this film (records on a camera or computer) that (basic, built-in, important qualities/scent) -all of it-. Paltan is very painfully painful and completely and totally no fun!
